Langlicheng's unmanned coffee machines are gaining popularity in South Korea.
2024-01-31
South Korea is a country that loves coffee very much. Although it doesn't produce coffee beans domestically, it ranks among the top countries in the world for coffee consumption. Coffee shops and cafes can be found on every street corner, and supermarket and convenience store shelves are always lined with rows of packaged coffee and instant coffee. As South Korea's coffee culture continues to develop and labor costs rise, self-service coffee vending machines—convenient, quick, and effortless—have gradually gained prominence.
Although South Korea’s coffee market is booming and boasts enormous potential, its import policies are extremely stringent, with exceptionally high standards for product quality. As a result, very few domestic coffee vending machine brands have managed to enter the Korean market. After months of preparation, Langlicheng’s freshly ground coffee vending machines have obtained Korean KC certification and have officially launched in South Korea. Upon their release, these products have quickly won the favor of numerous Korean distributors. In South Korea, coffee vending machines mostly take the form of unmanned coffee shops. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted many traditional coffee shops in Korea to suspend dine-in services, further boosting the popularity of these unmanned coffee shops. A single store—equipped with just two machines—can now achieve daily sales as high as 716 cups.

In June 2020, the Korean general distributor brought the Lys-311 model by Langlicheng to the Seoul Vending Machine Expo. The product received an unprecedented response as soon as it was unveiled, drawing a constant stream of inquiries on-site and further opening up the Korean market. Subsequently, Langlicheng’s unmanned freshly ground coffee machines were successively introduced into various venues in Korea, including banks, hospitals, and high-end hotels, thereby enhancing our brand’s trust among Korean consumers. Also in that same month, Langlicheng’s unmanned freshly ground coffee machines were awarded the 2020 Korea Innovation Brand Leader Award.

There was a steady stream of visitors seeking advice at the Seoul exhibition.
